Charles McIntosh
Charles McIntosh’s interest in criminal law began when he was asked to be an intern with the McLennan County District Attorney’s office in Waco Texas. By working on a re-trial of a double murder from the 1980s, an explosion at a fertilizer plant, and a shootout at a local restaurant between police and biker gangs, he found his future profession. This led to him going to Baylor University School of Law with a concentration in criminal practice. After graduation he moved to Amarillo, Texas to be a felony prosecutor. This allowed him to gain an insight into how police and prosecutors prepare and try cases. After a couple years in the Texas Panhandle Charles moved to the Gulf Coast area of Texas and began his solo practice as a criminal defense attorney. While there he represented clients charged with everything from DUIs to the most serious of felonies in both State of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas Federal Courts. Montana winters are very real, but so are Texas summers and with Charles’ wife being from Butte her desire to move back home came sooner than they both expected. However, with his love of the outdoors, he wasn’t about to complain about moving to Montana. Charles got his Montana license in 2022 and while he went from I-10 to I-90, his desire to help clients facing criminal charges didn’t change. He immediately began practicing criminal law in Butte and the surrounding areas. He embraces the role of counselor to his clients. He gets his clients the best offer possible, educates them about their options, and is prepared to try every case.
